The stones shout Jesus and Truth every day! These stones are found in museums all over the world and are also found locally on the earth’s surface. In museums the stones shout Jesus and Truth, and are a testimony of intelligent man with a message and purpose. Also spread every-where on the earth as a testimony are the stones that shout Jesus and Truth of the biblical flood.
In previous posts there has been the intention to give “credence” (ie “believable proof “- a word not heard much today-see the last post Pub.14/6/15), to God’s Word. In this shortish article we will shift the emphasis from the spiritual to the historical, “hard” evidence for biblical Truth.
To introduce the Biblical legend of creation , we have taken just three of many examples from the book ” The Stones Still Shout!”, by Drs. C. and B. Wilson.(Pacific Christian Ministries- PO Box 3140,Vic.,Australia.)
1) Enuma Elish Tablet Page 11 This was found in the dug-out ruins of the library of the Assyrian King, Ashur-bani-pal, who died about 626 BC. But he had taken it from the conquered Babylonians. Earlier copies have now been found.
” It is one of a series of seven tablets. It tells of creation; but it is grotesque and is repulsive to intelligent people.
‘In this epic the emphasis is on the superiority of Marduk, The chief god of Babylon which is superior to all other cities. Creation was necessarily from pre-existing matter, including Marduk him-self. The existence of vegetation, animals and light are assumed. Their creation is not mentioned. Man was made from the blood of a leading rebel God, Kingu, mixed with clay. As Kingu was evil, man was inherently evil also.”
‘Critics claim that the bible writer borrowed the creation record from this Babylonian legend. The opposite is true; The Genesis record stands tall, with the Babylonian record a distorted and grotesque corruption of the original one in the O.T.
As an example, the king Marduke, after defeating an enemy,” cuts her body up in half, and then made heaven and earth from the two halves of her body.” (page 11)
This flight of imagination comes from both the corrupt nature and “Sick” heart of ordinary man, especially violent in those days as they told and re-told this legend over time. To quote the Authors-“Genesis is straight-forward and totally acceptable to thinking people, provided we accept the wonderful Truth that God Him-self is our great Creator.”
2)Another creation story is The Ebla Tablet: page 12. According to the original translator, this tablet says that ” there was no heaven and “Lugal” the Great One formed it out of nothing, and this was the process for the creation of heaven,earth sun and moon.” It is stated that Syrian authorities have insisted(Dr. Wilson has a copy of the official letter) that there should be no reference to the O.T., or that the Jewish people are early relatives of the Syrian people.” This tablet is dated to about 2200BC., about seven hundred years before the Genesis example.” Again the enemy steps in to deceive the world” with Government authority. Christians, like Christ, have no visible authority in this world other than our faith.
These are examples of legend or stories that existed from the beginning of time. The above stories were a reference to a real event but had become victim to man’s superstitions and corrupt nature over time.( see www.creation.com; www.answersingenesis.org)
3) The Garden Of Eden Seal-Page 13. This is a clear reference to the Garden Of Eden Rebellion. This shows a man and woman sitting opposite each other with a small tree standing between them with 4 matching branches bearing fruit(small lines). The bottom pair are drooping down, meeting almost their outstretched hands(hers is closest) There is a serpent standing behind the woman on the one side. They are clothed wearing a long gowns.
This was in the British Museum, displayed under the above Title. Now our present political, anti-god academics,(agents of the enemy, again) have re-named it as ” a Babylonian Tablet.” It is approx. 5cm. by 3cm. Two have been found,showing the strong relevance of the legend at this time. One each at Nineveh and Tepe Gawra.
There are many more Truths in stone of ancient nations in the cradle of civilization which relate to O.T. times.My bible (source 1 below) lists and describes about 38 more, including “The Ebla Tablets”( Sumerian- Eblaite texts)- mid third millennium BC, thousands of commercial, legal, literary and epistolary(letter-like) texts describe the cultural vitality and political power of a pre patriarchal times in Northern Syria,which is directly on the fertile crescent of Abraham’s journey.
There is The Gilgamesh Epic (In Akkadian hieroglyphics -the “diplomatic” language of those times) of early second millennium BC. Gilgamesh, ruler of the city-state of Uruk,experiences many adventures, including a meeting with the only survivor of a great deluge( or flood)(cf Gen. 6-9). Archeologists estimate Abraham left Ur(a neighboring city) about 1900 BC. This is about the same period.(These subjects can be “Google’ d!, including the Tower of Babel!)
This then introduces another O.T. Genesis Biblical Truth-The flood. The stones- including the fossil-fuels of coal and oil,-as well as other fossil-bearing rocks,cliffs and canyons,etc., all over the world, all shout out” Jesus and Truth “. A high- school science book said- “95% of the earth’s surface was covered in sedimentary rock(rock carried and then laid down by water“) This includes lime-stone(made up mostly of shells and bone, fragments compressed together), sand-stone ( compressed sand from water and pressure) which make up all Australian convict buildings,-and the pyramids- also clay, slate shale,etc. They are all around us! I am willing to bet that this statement has been removed by the politically correct establishment!
There was another such statement then in our school science books, stating that ” there would be about one yard(“meter” now) of dust on the moon because of the long age of the planetary system. After the first man to walk on the moon’s surface left only a slight foot-print, this has since been removed- quickly!
But as Rom.1:18ff says“the wrath of God is being revealed ..against the wickedness of men who suppress the Truth..since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them..His eternal power and divine nature-have been clearly seen..”..
In previous posts will be found more proof that the whole bible can be taken as literal history of those biblical times, despite the accusations of “old guard” critics and liberal scholars. It is the old struggle of “God’s kingdom”against “my kingdom” ie the “closeted” comfy dusty rooms of academia giving a warm glow “I made it!” -that we still see played through-out God’s Word and God’s world. The jealous “Pharisaic” Spirit which condemned Christ all those years ago is still attacking the righteousness of God through “legalism”. But where is the “un-conditional love of God here? It is absent!
Can you remember when the (corrupted?) catholic church waged war on the ‘word’ and believers in “inquisition times?”- as Christ “the Living Word” also suffered? And we,too, can suffer!- as in the middle east conflict today.Here Christians get attacked from both sides, rebels and government, with no help from the West!

I hope you are strengthened in your faith from these few “concrete ” proofs of scripture. “Apologetics”has become a name hiding the truth. Confidence in God and from God is available now. Psalm 100:4 “enter his gates with thanksgiving in our hearts and enter His courts with Praise.” Heb. 4:16” Let us approach the throne of grace with confidence so that we may receive mercy and find grace in our time of need.”
And please ,Col.3:5ff ” Put to death then what-ever belongs to your earthly nature:..v.8 But now we must rid our-selves of these: anger, malice,envy, rage, slander and filthy language from your lips. Do not Lie to each other!..v 10… We have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its’ Creator. Here there is no Greek or Jew, slave or free,male or female, but Christ is all, and in all.” Jesus Christ transcends all barriers. He unifies all people. Distinctions are not significant. Love binds us all together. We are “The Hope of the World!”
But – James 2:26 ff “As the body with-out the Spirit is dead, so faith with-out good deeds is dead..” It is up to we believers to be the hands and feet of Jesus in this world ,which is always looking for hope! Praise the Lord!
